Chin Chin
Chin Chin – the Nigerian snack that’s been reimagined into the ultimate treat you’ll want all to yourself. Think deep-fried shortbread cookies with a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth vibe and a soft, satisfying crunch that pairs perfectly with your morning coffee (or, you know, your secret midnight snack). Made with a mix of flour, sugar, butter, milk, nutmeg, and a dash of ginger and cayenne pepper for that subtle kick, this is one snack you won’t ever want to share. Seriously, once you taste it, “sharing” won’t even be in your vocabulary. Go ahead, indulge. Just keep it on the down-low from your friends.
About us
Sweetness Express was born in 2016, in my parents' garage-turned-bakery in Nigeria. Armed with an oven and a serious sweet tooth, I baked all kinds of treats and served up the best coffee in town. In 2019, I moved to the U.S. and began sharing my creations with new friends in Des Moines. Of all the treats, one stole the show: my version of Chin Chin.
Chin Chin is a beloved Nigerian snack, but I gave it a little twist—making it softer, more irresistible, and, honestly, a bit addictive (you’ve been warned!). While I juggle baking alongside a full-time job, my hope is to keep spreading a little more sweetness wherever I go.
